After getting this certification, an ESA IC Director is authorized to promote and conduct ESA Instructor Courses and to present instructor candidates to an IE (Instructor Evaluation).

  IC Director Certification can be achieved by attending the ESA IC Director training that involves the entire diving business field. ESA Training Department organizes this program and every renewed ESA Prolevel Instructor receives application information related to this course. The candidates’ selection is made by ESA Training Department.  ESA IC Directors can promote and conduct ESA IC at ESA affiliated facilities qualified as ESA IC Point, ESA College or at other locations pre-approved and authorized by ESA Training Department.

  ESA IC Directors that receive additional specific training can be qualified as ESA First Aid IC Director and promote, conduct and require license ratification for ESA First Aid Instructor certification.

  In case of specific experience in particular diving areas, IC Directors can apply to get the authorization to promote, conduct and require license ratification for Specialty Instructor certifications; previous Specialty Instructor licenses can fulfill the experience requirement.

  The following people may send the request to participate to the Instructor Course Director Training Program:
renewed Instructor Trainers (or equivalent ratings) of other recognized diving organizations. The Instructor Trainer license must have been achieved at least 1 year ago.
persons with particular position and experience in Dive Industry and / or with particular experience in teaching scuba courses, that may have the attitude and the characteristics necessary to operate as ESA Instructor Course Director
The acceptance of the entry form will depend also by the ESA Training Department evaluation of the candidate’s attitude and capabilities to cover the ESA Instructor Course Director Role.
