ESA Diveleader certification represents the first step of ESA Professional Affiliation.
This license indicates a diver, who completed all recreational diving education and, once succeeded ESA Diveleader Course, has the appropriate training to: guide snorkelers and certified divers tours, work as an educational assistant, under direct supervision of an ESA Instructor and plane and conduct all ESA Aquatrek Courses. Due to the fact that the mentioned duties involve responsibilities, an ESA Diveleader has to get professional liability insurance.
Prerequisites to enroll an ESA Diveleader course: Be at least 18 years old Be certified as an ESA Advanced Diver (or equivalent rating) Be certified as an ESA Prevention & Rescue Diver (or equivalent rating) Have an ESA First aid certification (or equivalent rating) Have an ESA Oxygen First Aid certification (or equivalent rating) Have at least 60, signed, logged dives in a personal logbook A current medical certificate
